I like this case because I always misplaced my nike+ attachments! I can put them right in the case and I don't have to worry about losing them or breaking them. It also keeps my iPod from getting beat up. The armband is easy to put on, the only thing that I don't like about it is that you can't see the screen while the iPod is in the armband. If it is not in the exact spot it can mess a run up when you are trying to check your time, speed, etc. I messed one of my runs up and it was pretty annoying, but now I know to make sure that it is in the exact position in the armband.
This has been a "well worth the money" buy plainly for the fact that now I have a place to put all my nike plus running stuff (the chip, the receiver, earbuds, ipod, sportband) - all in one place and I am not constantly searching for it. THE NEGATIVE? I checked and a lot of reviewers said it fit their 3rd gen - and others said it fit their 5th gen. I took a shot, and it fits neither. 3rd gen is too wide and the 5th gen's earbud socket is on the wrong side of the sleeve.
Great price from Overstock - would have cost $50+ separately elswhere. Armband is somwhat hard to use - can't see display and tough to push buttons, but it securely holds i-pod with Nike+ attachement. Case is great for protecting all you Nike+ stuff.
The ipod in the picture is a new ipod so you would think that the arm band holds the new ipod..well it doesnt, the case is perfect but the armband is only good if you want to put your ipod in it and not touch it the whole time your working out....should have read the reviews before buying! oh and the ear phone hole is on the wrong side so you have to cut your own hole....
The Sport case works fine except for the zipper is a little difficult, however it works as advertised. The armband on the other hand is useless. The port for the earphone plug is on the wrong side for a Gen 5, the menu button on the front won't line up with the button on the Ipod unless the ipod sticks 2 inches out the top. One thing that is funny is that the video camera aligns with the earphone plug port perfectly. Overall the armband is useless and I won't be using it, unless I can modify it with a pair of scissors.. Oh well, it was cheap enough that by throwing it away, I won't be out that much money.
I love this, BUT i bought the new iPod nano and it doesnt match up with the play/pause, fast forward, rewind. Either way, it is a great place for me to store it.Thanks Overstock!
This is a superbly designed product, and an exceptional value at this price. Only fits the 3G Nano, but who cares? Great way to keep everything in one place.
The armband doesn't align properly with the buttons on the nano. It is hard to find the seek button when you are trying to change songs due to the improper alignment. Also, it is virtually impossible to change the volume while you are working out which can get really annoying when some songs are louder than others. On the other hand the travel case is nice cause I don't feel bad just throwing my ipod in there and throwing it in my workout bag. It protects the ipod very well!
For the price, this can't be beat. The arm band makes it virtually impossible to change songs on your ipod while running because the screen and the roll-over cirlce are covered in fabric. I really just needed something to protect my ipod with the Nike+ adapter while running and this fits that bill. I wrap the arm band around my water bottle so I can pull the ipod out easier to change songs.
I really enjoy having a good case to put and store all the items relating to my ipod, the arm band is very helpful and I use it a lot. The only drawback on the armband is if the buttons are not aligned just right with the ipod you sometimes have to remove it to adjust the volume but, that is a minor consideration.
This is an excellent value for both the armband and case. The case keeps all of your Nike/ Ipod equipment and accessories together and easy to find. The best part of the case is the area in the back which allows you to wind up your cords and headphones. My only dislike is that the arm band is a little tricker than the models that have a clear front and takes longer to get ready to go for a run. Overall this was a great buy and I would recommend.
Armband: The armband buttons don't match up with the iPod Nano so you have to stick the iPod out some to use the buttons on the armband. It is hard to put on with out help but once you got it on, it stays on. Sports Kit: Keeps everything organized.
Got this as a replacement for the newest nike + armband which is terrible. The armband works gread for my hubby (it was a gift) and he loves the case that keeps his Nike+ gear organized. This was an incredible value considering the piece of junk newest Nike+ armband ALONE (that is made out of non-stretchy plastic) retails for $29. This armband is stretchy and works just great.
The price for the arm band is unmatched. It was a bonus to bundle the armband with the case bundle. Its perfect for traveling back and forth to the gym. You know that your ipod is safe from damage.
Originally, I just wanted the armband, but since they bundled it with the case; I thought "what the heck?!" It all fits nicely in the case and keeps my ipod safe when in transit. The Armband works just the way they say it does and keeps my ipod from getting sweat all over it! In addition, I can still easily reach the controls and make any adjustments necessary as I'm going along. Great products - that make me want to get the Nike+ system!
This item is terribly overpriced! The plastic zipper box and the wristband are well designed, but they are merely plastic and rubber. However, i's a great concept for 1/2 the price. I thought it included the small "receiver." Then it would be a wonderful item.
