i was definitely impressed when i receive the usb 56k modem. i was kinda skeptical about the product because of the low price. didn't think it would actually work. upon recieving the package the dynex modem was easily installed into my Windows Xp system and i was up and running in 3 minutes. This was a great purchase. especially when your dsl provider goes down on you and you just have to get back online.

Order and delivery couldn't be better. It took only a few days.
The product itself was a little less than stellar. I had difficulty getting it to work up to standards. Actually ended up buying a more expensive but better product at a local store. Sometimes you do get what you pay for.
I did not get the modem to connect to the internet but was able to get the one I purchased locally to work OK.

Just like the other reviewer mentioned, it is one of the few inexpensive and available modem for Linux users. Most USB modem doesn't work with Linux but this one does. The computer I tested with is a Dell D620
