The refurbished 160gb Passport is a great buy. I shopped the internet carefully, including auction sites, and bought this unit for about the same price as used units elsewhere. When it arrived (on time), it looked new to me; and it's worked perfectly ever since. Since I'm just using it as a simple external drive, I ignored the bundled software - just plug and play with Vista or XP.
I was confused by the software product included on the drive. Took me a while to realized I could just plug the drive in and save things to the hard drive, period. I am still not all that sure I have done it correctly, but I will keep trying.
