I bought this product to use mainly as a way to carry movies around on vacation for my children. It works great for that and much more. I don't know if the kids are going to get to use it. I am very impressed with the quality of the playback. It could be a little more user friendly, but I managed to figure it out easily enough. Also, you get more than enough playing time on the battery. I have watched two full length movies without rechargeing the battery. It has nice sound as an mp-3 player as well.

I got this as a drive to store my photos when travelling. It is easier than taking a computer and I can see the photos. It has a calendar, plays movies but only if you have XP. The company stopped supporting this device and has provded updates but nothing related to Vista.I purchased it to use as a picture viewer and got much more. The software works great on my old XP computer. So if you have xp and are comfortable playing around to learn the software this is a nice device.One caution don't delete the sample images, video that messes up the device menus.

When I ran across this, i was looking at mp3 players, 40gb. I was able to download all of my songs, but I can not figure out a way to view and sort by artist, or any type of playlist order. While this does have a lot of storage for music, I dont think ti should be promoted as an mp3 player, I will be returning this one.

I got 2 of these but neither one worked. I got great service from Overstock.com- they were very nice about returning the items. It would have been nice if they worked, but the best I could do was get one to act as an external hard drive. Maybe if I got a third one, it would work. I have never had any trouble from Overstock before.

Two areas of disapointment. First, The video recording format is not directly viewable from Media Player. Accompaning software allows for conversion to a more standard format but it takes time. Second, mp3 shuffle playback will only work on a specific folder level instead of over all files.

I was really excited to buy this product, I unpacked it and it looked good - but upon setting it up, the prop stand broke.The buttons are loose feeling and very plastic-y.The joystick will either be very sensitive or unresponsive.Quality is lacking all around.I was able to load photo's on the device, but wasn't able to put other media on it.I don't know if it was an actual issue with the device malfunctioning or the difficult software.Sadly, I packed it back into it's box and had to send it back.I'd really hoped that it would be all that it was supposed to be, but it wasn't.

This product will not play my videos. It said I need to go on the internet and down lord a decoder program.
