I FEEL LIKE SENDING IT BACK, THE MOTOR IS SO LOUD IT IS LIKE HAVING A PURRING CAT ON YOUR LAP WHILE YOU ARE TRYING TO WATCH A MOVIE. THE VOLUME ONLY GOES SO HIGH NOT LOUD ENOUGH. I AM SURE WHEN I USE IT IN THE CAR I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO HEAR IT.
We have only used this since Christmas; but so far, it has performed well. There is a loud humming noise when the DVD is not actively playing and when the sound from the DVD is low. That has been a concern to me, but it has definately not affected my son's enjoyment. We really like the large viewing screen and that is one of the major reasons we picked this particular product. We have used it at home and in the vehicle and it has worked well - love the way the screen goes whichever way you want it to (at home anyway, but not in the carrying case in the car). Overall, we are very satisfied - we just hope the product lasts for awhile.
