Heavy
The item is too heavy to use on a standard stud and does not include any mounting hardware. Likely going to cost a pretty penny to send back.

very poor cable race design; TiVO-incompatible
Construction is solid and if your equipment is compatible then it's fine. However, the shelves will NOT fit a TiVO with HDMI connector in the middle of the rear, and the cable race while ample internally passes through small rectangular openings at top and bottom that make it impossible to feed some cables without detaching the unit. Unscrewing the shelves from the mounting bracket and running cables while balancing the shelves and ensuring that the cables stay in the right place is very difficult and simply shouldn't be necessary. Really disapointed.

Mount-It! Wall-mounted Shelving System
The Mount-it! Wall-mounted Shelving Unit I purchased is very well made and easy to install. It took my husband and I about 15 minutes to install the shelving and it looks beautiful. The unit is very sturdy and heavy duty. The instructions were easy to follow and the shelves are pretty thick and heavy. Good purchase and reasonably priced.

It's kind of small, really only for 2 or maximum 3 equipments, like DVR and a Playstation, and maybe another one.

Bigger than I expected
I looked high and low for a wall-mounted peripheral shelf or shelving unit because our flat screen TV is mounted above a fireplace and mantel. These was the only one I found in my price range and I thought it would be good. It is, but it isn't great. It's a bit too modern. My taste isn't country, but it isn't modern/industrial either, so this is a little out-of-place in my living room, but it is OK. It's significantly bigger than I expected, but it does work well for it's intended purpose. If you don't want a piece of furniture to hold peripherals, this could be what you are looking for ... but remember, it may not go with your French provincial side chairs.
