well the only way my internet through comcast works is if i unplug this router and let it reset''bout 3 times a day

I connected this modem to my computer and it doesn't connect on the first try. I read the instructions and it still is mediocre. I decided not to return it too much hassle. I'll keep it and use it when my Linksys dies.

My old D-Link cable modem has had intermittent connectivity problem. D-Link didn't want to repair it. So I had to get a new one. This Motorola model is recommended by Comcast. However, I found it cheaper at Overstock. Surprisingly it's even tax free for California. Wonderful. I received it within 24 hours after ordering it for standard shipment. Overstock feels like just in the neighborhood. I had to call into Comcast tech support to register the new cable modem. All works well within 10 minutes. No more connectivity problem.

I checked a lot of review before I buy it. This Motorola Cable Modem is the best and reliable in the market. Just this is 5101U model, not 5101, overstock have to make it clear for customer. But I dont care, it works fine anywayz.....

No problem with setting up (actually done by a cable technician). Fast and no loss of connection so far.

Be careful. I ordered a SB5101 Cable Modem. I was sent a SB5101U which does not have a standby button or indicator light (and other features?)Requested a return and credit today. Told it may be 2 days to process request. Too late for Christmas.
