I have bought many products through Overstock and always been happy. On line, this looked very much like my previous bluetooth, which I liked. I am not happy with this one, which I plan to replace as soon as possible. When it arrived, it was much bigger than I expected and made of cheap plastic. The directions for activation did not work with my phone, and it took several tries to activate it. It is difficult to turn on and off and to tell whether the device is activated. Several times when turning on the bluetooth, it has placed calls. Several times I thought I had turned it off, only to discover it was still on and I had missed important calls. I have learned that that the only way to tell whether it is on or off is by looking for the headset icon on my phone, which is a pain in the neck, especially if I want to turn it on or off while driving. One of the electrical prongs also fell off the charger the fourth or fifth time I used it. Do not buy this product.
I would not recommend this Motorola to anyone. I believe that this may have been shipped to me in error. I have purchased several Motorala HS850 Bluetooths from Overstock and have been thrilled with the quality for the price, ease to use it, amount of time it remains charged and the fact that it easily connects automatically with my cell phone. Not so with the HS820, The sound quality is inferior to what I am used to, it does not seem to stay charged for very long and it feels flimsy, not staying in place on my ear. I am returning it with the hope that it will be replaced with the Motororola HS850.
I purchased this item for my son as a Christmas gift. He put it to use right away, after charging it, of course. So far, he really likes it. He's in college, his cell is his primary phone, so he uses it alot. I wanted him to be safer when driving, and this really helps. I can't really comment on the features, or sound, but from what my son has told me, it's really great.
