Motorcycle and Bicycle Pedestal with Ball Joint Mount

The original product was missing a part which Overstock corrected quickly. The retainer plate for the phone does a good job of holding the phone securely. However, the retainer plate does not attach to the socket assembly securely. A few wraps with Teflon plumbers' tape seems to do the job. The ball and socket assembly and bar clamp seem to be ok. When used on an 18-speed bike, there is significant vibration of the unit, even on smooth road surfaces, so the Teflon tape "fix" may not work long term. The unit is better suited to mounting on a golf pull cart where there is less vibration.

I would have given this product a five star rating, but I feel there is one design flaw. This is my second mount due to the fact I lost the face plate of the first one while on the freeway riding my motorcycle. I was trying to move something and bumped the plate and it fell off. The plate is just secured by a hook type system to the neck of the mount. I used black duct tape to secure the second faceplate and it's been working great! The iPhone is really secure and doesn't vibrate much when I'm on my motorcycle. I've driven over fifty miles to test the mount out and I have had no problems. I also have a power outlet near the mount to charge the phone so I have music and driving directions via bluetooth when ever I travel now. It's a great item for the price and it does the job!

I bought two of these gadgets, one for my daughter and one for myself. They are easy to put on the handlebars and my iphone clips in easily and snugly. Perfect!!

Not a bad solution for motorcycle mounting or bicycle mount. Good price
