I loved the fact that there are the phone and cable line protector as well as surge protector for this item. The only quibble i have with it is that when ever i use a device that uses a lot of energy from another separate outlet in my room (ie: a vacuum or a paper shredder) it caused a disturbance with my LCD tv and makes the cable go blank for a second. But when i was watching a dvd, it was fine. Weird.

Very good -- Nice to have tags to id cords. Light to indicate proper polarity and ground very good.

Where we live, the power has a tendancy to go out from time to time. To protect satellite cable box and flat panel LCD TV from surges, some kind of power protection is apparently necessary. Retail prices for the appropriate devices are ridiculous. This Monster power center is useful for a small to med size system. How well does it work?? Who knows....it only works when your gear is not damaged by power fluctuations, and who knows when that has happened? It's one of those things that you have to trust the 'experts' on. Having said that, the Overstock deal was great and I feel my gear is protected for a reasonable price. The world's a complicated place !!!!
