The name and picture are wrong. This is called a Filemate USB Modem CX. It is made by Wintec. It is not a solid unit as pictured. It has a 5 inch USB cord. That being said, it works great and it even comes with a new retractable phone cord. The driver software loaded easily, but I do not know if there is a web downloadable version of it, so you may need a disk drive. Also it makes a soft "internet handshake" noise when logging in. Also, you cannot plug a telephone into it either, it plugs directly into the phone jack. After I installed this and also bought a registry cleaning program, my ten year old computer is working great.
I just love this super fast modem. Its been a few months now since i got it and its totally dependable and super fast. Its been working day and night with no problems since I recieved it...super fast with high response. I highly recommend this modem to anyone looking for new technology. Works great.

Glad I purchased this cable modem - lowest price I could find and was shipped immediately! Works way FASTER than my previous modem - first time I buy this Motorola. I did check various reviews from other sellers - and they all agreed this is a great product. And no problems at all w/installation.
The description did not specify that this was only compatible with Verizon DSL, but that is what the box said. It would not work for me, and I had to return it.
