Minox DCC 5.1 5.1 Megapixel Compact Camera

This is a fun piece of photographic history, but not really a camera you would want to use to record important events of your life. The user interface is very basic; kind of reminds me of the very first generation of digital cameras when there were many goofy things about the UI that you had to get used. to. There is no exposure compensation or any other way to correct the camera's super average metering. The picture quality is ok but practically every picture will need some adjustment to contrast and brightness after the fact. The digital zoom is completely useless and they could have eliminated it entirely. In fact, it would have been a lot more useful to use the up and down button on the back for increasing and decreasing the exposure instead of the worthless zoom. In conclusion, if you want this as a novelty item and a very cute and adorable little copy of the Leica M rangefinder cameras, you will be happy with it. If you really want this as a compact camera to take on family trips or get togethers, you will be disappointed. It's a shame, because some minor attention to the user interface and including some additional controls that are universally standard on digital cameras nowadays would have made this both an attractive mini Leica and a practical camera.
