When my 15-year old laser needed a new cartridge, I found this much newer printer for less than the new cartridge. It is great for home use. It is fast, has great print, and replacement cartridges are reasonable. The ad states the warranty is for 30 days, but upon registering, I discovered the manufacturer warranty is for 1 year. In wait mode it is very quiet. Power up time is minimal. This printer would be great for anyone who does a lot of black and white printing at home. I am not sure how it would last under a lot of stress such as in a business environment. I also liked the dual interface. I just unplugged my old Centronics parallel printer and plugged this one right in. As with most products today, it does not come with a manual, but it is available in PDF from Minolta's web site.
