A basic SLR and the quality of the pictures is very good. I am too attached to digital because of the easy and cost but if I weren't so lazy I would do more with the Minolta. My son used it at college and loves the results.

I bought this camera to use in my profession as an esthetician. I take before and after pictures of areas that I am treating. I MUST have clear, extremely close pictures to show the pores on your face. This camera does it! It is awesome. I have a small digital camera for recreation but it does not even compare!
