I bought this for my 71 year old Mom as one of her Christmas gifts. She spends alot of time in her room and mentioned wanting a way to play her CDs, especially her IL DIVO, her favorites. I wanted something that would be easy for her to use, compact and user friendly without compromising the sound. This is all of the mentioned, and she loves it. A great price for what you get.

We're building a house.... currently working on the inside. I purchased the Emerson radio to provide some music for us. At first, I wasn't very happy with it because one of the speakers would vibrate and sound awful. Turns out that this one speaker is the one that detaches... and it wasn't attached firmly... hence the vibration. Once the speaker was firmly in place... all was well. The unit is nice and small and sounds OK. Works fine for a work radio/CD/clock. I'm not going to recommend it to a friend because of the speaker possibly being an issue.

Overall good product for the price. The tuning is a bit touchy, the antenna is a bit short and the reception varies depending on where my son is sitting!
