i was surprised that the price for this d.v.d player was within my budget. i purchased my last one at Radio Shack for about $50, 7 years ago. i have only had to replace the power cord in all that time. i go camping and travel frequently to places where there is no social media available at all. i go way back into the woods if possible. i love it, the ruffing it. but i am addicted to the television. i am told it is in my family genes!!! my father worked graveyard /swing shift for many years and he would fall asleep in front of the t.v. i would get up at 5:30 am to find him asleep in his chair and the t.v. on Creature Features or Star Trek. my children have always been comfortable with the t.v. on or a radio on all night. so......................i needed a new d.v.d. player. i owned property in Willow Creek, ca. for 6 years and had no electricity except batteries and the sun. i got about 2 hours /1 movie each charging and that was perfect! i cant believe the price is still under $100 for 1 of these. thanks overstock!
