I bought this software for my wife who is a pecking typer. The software is great... unfortunately, it did not help my wife's typing skills. ;-(

Mavis Beacon is the queen of typing courses. We ordered it cheaper from Overstock.com than we could find it in the stores. We also got it so quickly. It was a great combination. Now there's typing practice that needs to be done ! Thanks, Overstock.com!

THIS CD WAS EASY TO USE AND INSTALL ON MY LAP TOP. VERY HELPFUL. I PURCHASED IT TO ASSIST MY MOM WITH HER FIRST TIME COMPUTER USE. SHE LOVED IT. VERY HELPFUL. GREAT PRODUCT AND AS ALWAYS WITH OVERSTOCK GREAT VALUE!

Somehow I was under the impression the software would work on both PC's and Mac's, as most software does in this age. Unfortunately it is just a PC version and of no use to me or our family. I gave it to a school that has a PC.

The product does exactly what it purports to do. Both my 4 star ratings have to do with installation. It seems that in order to install and run correctly, the computer user must have administrative priviledges. I could understand the need for this if the program had global impact on the local computer and the network to which it may be connected. But a typing program? Come on!

It is kind of old, i mean the graphics and all, but it will work

Even though I have been typing for quite some time, I have always had the bad habit of looking at the keys. After working with this Mavis Beacon tutorial for just a couple of weeks, I no longer look at the keys, and my speed has improved greatly. Mavis Beacon makes it very easy and fun to learn how to type correctly. If you have been thinking about purchasing this product for a while, like I was, don't put it off any longer. You will be amazed at how great it is! It's great for anyone just learning how to type, or someone like me, who needed to correct bad habits and improve my typing speed.

I am trying to improve my skills for a job upgrade. The disk is easy to follow and enjoyable to work on.

I got this for my 7 yr old who wanted to be able to type without looking like mom. She loves it! The first time she played for an hour and had major improvement. Very simple to use and relevant for all ages.

This software is great! I got it for my husband because he needs to learn how to type for his job. He didn't think that he would be able to learn to type, but he was surprised that this software started right at the level that he was on. This software is extremely user friendly, and it has given my husband the confidence that he needed to get the results that he needed! I didn't go wrong with this purchase!

Good version of the old standby. Needs a moderately powerful computer and plenty of RAM. Works well. I bought it for my school since I knew it was a good program. The children like it and don't mind practicing typing at all. Price and value make it a good fit for a school that needs a lot of copies.

I bought this for my fiance who types about 5 owrds per minute... now he's up to 20... he loves it and it's really helping him!!

i bought this game for my 9 year old niece to play. she just loves it. she plays with nearly everyday. for the price i paid for it, it was great in the stores is 20.00 even with shipping it didnt come close to 20.00. i thinking about ordering some for gifts for family members. the only problem i had was with installing i don't know why...but overall i would recommend this product for adults and kids. the game bought back so many memories when i played it when i was younger.
