  This radio does exactly what it is suppose to do and a great buy for ther money. I would reccommend it.

  There are TWO BIG issues with this radio: 1) the alert "beep" that should be loud enuf to wake someone out of sleep, isn't even loud enuf to hear across a main floor in a small house 2) it runs on both battery or a/c, but don't include an a/c cord (how unsafe and cheap) 3) and, I found very similar model by same company on other sites for about 1/3 less (and I believe it included a cord).
