Great Basic Player for playing your old VHS tapes and regular DVDs. I am currently assigned overseas where VHS Library tapes are common. This one player easily meets the need to play both VHS and DVDs. It is definateley no frills as it does not have a TV receiver nor can it record but it does what I need. VHS players are hard to find these days and this one does the job at a reasonable price.

we bought this for my mom as a x-mas gift. shes 78 and this sounded very easy for her to work. ups delivered very fast.it was boxed up great. my husband hooked it up easily. we put a vhs tape in .the picture and sound were excellent. so we decided to watch the movie about 10 mins into it .the machine went off plus the tape was stuck?we tried a few things to get it to work-nothing.it was frustrating-finally my husband called the 800# the co. said that this refurbished product has a reputation of doing this-that we had to unplug it for about 1/2 hour and start again.It did & we tried the dvd. very easy Its a nice little unit my mom likes the remote. I just suggest that if your giving this as a gift try it first

I haven't had this player long enough to give it 5 stars, but so far, so good. The only feature that annoys me is having to press the DVD button every time I turn the unit on, although I haven't yet used the VCR feature. It's only a matter of remembering to do it, though. Otherwise, it's just fine.

I was a little skeptical about buying this product as it was refurbished, but I must admit that so far it has functioned superbly...I record at least 4 programs a day and the audio and video functions are easy to hear and see...I am very pleased with this product...and I will buy other things from this web site.....

I bought this item mainly to tape tv shows and it does NOT do this, and now I cannot return it as it is non returnable so I am stuck with it I am not happy at all!!!!
