I recently purchased this GPA for my husband. I was worried about it being refurbished, but it actually is much better than I was expecting. It works great! I love how it announces the street names instead of just telling you to turn. It beeps when it's time for you to turn. I really liked that it was able to track us when we were on a ferry. I thought the screen might go blank, but it was even able to tell us which pier we were approaching. I would definitely recommend it to a friend. You won't get lost with this GPS.

The good: Was really easy to set up and get working. The bad: I took it Phoenix and it didn't have the roads I needed in the software. The map on it is from a couple of years ago and it will cost me $79 to get updated map software from the Garmin website. This is why I only gave it 2 stars for value.

Fantastic and easy hands on product. This Magellan RoadMate 2200 GPS Navigation System is really easy to use. I have a Magellan RoadMate 700 which I thought was user friendly but the 2200 surpasses it . The 2200 is a great and fantastic GPS. Great and reasonable price won`t leave home without it. RC

Bought this little unit for my wife, much better than the TomTom that I have. Magellan and Garmin are the leaders in GPS (refelected in their price!) so to get this unit at this price is a steal. Great features for entry level GPS. Gets you where you want to go. Solid construction.

We've always wanted one, but somewhat nervous on how to use. It's actually very easy one we got the hang of it. It's portable & we can take it with us on vacation and carry it in out pockets on hiking trips. At night it's real helpful. We did good!

This is a fun product. It is fairly easy to operate right out of the box. The only area lacking is the ability to create your own route, e.g. to avoid New York City if you are driving South to VA or below.

I really like the gps. A little hard to choose a new destination during the destination ( but that could be just me!) I sell jewelry so I am constantly having to use it to find houses and streets. So far it has never been wrong! Would recommend it to anybody!

At first it was not easy to figure out how to create a route, I had to call to tech support, after they explained it just fine. Second, dashboard mounts last for me only 5 miles. One more, I would like to make it louder, so you can keep conversation, or music and video for kids, while driving.

The 2000 Roadmate is excellent for finding detours around the city. I found quicker routes to places after using this GPS than after 5 years of double checking road maps. It's about 90% accurate when determining rural routes, but still does a phenomenal job. The screen is clear and adjusts at night. The turn by turn graphic and voice directions are clear. I got the 2008 software and POI upgrade from Magellan and now I can use this thing for camping and marine navigation!! Totally sweet! I can position my base camp now on the GPS whenever we go camping and it will ensure that we'll never lose our way while hiking.

Not bad at all for the money, but the french is poor when it comes to road number or names, even in english it's difficult to understand, a tourist will make mistakes listening only to voices directions. But the maps are easy to follow and changes of direction are notified well in advance. This product answer my needs, I will recommend it to my friends. I would like to see a better notice for explaining how to use well this product.

This is a very good buy. There is only 2 things that I don't really like about it. The first thibg is that there are a lot of road names that are not on the GPS. Also, some of the road names don't match. You know what the road is named, but the GPS tells you the name is something else.

the overall was good especially the price and the quality. i found it easy to operate and i would recommend it to any future buyer who wants to buy a navigation system.

Odered this unit on a tuesday and had it the next day in plenty of time to use it for the weekend and to learn its features, it worked as I had hoped for, it planned the trips and i went to a short cuts to the highway assess roads and it leaned and readjusted it and learned how I wanted to go, for the $$$ I spent I feel it is well worth the price ,

Great GPS... Received it the morning I was leaving on a two city trip. Charged it and it was easy to program and amazing how it directed us. Love it. I am certain as I learn how to use it properly with reading and experience, it will get 5 stars plus in all categories. My husband insisted we didn't need it and he is now telling everyone about it.

I would recommend this product. It was exactly what the ad said it would be. It's easy to use, the voice clear.

Very cool! So easy to use, no set up required! Very quick to readjust directions when you go the wrong way.

thanks to this gps i didnt get nervous when i got lost in our new city. the directions were direct and to the point the only problem with it is that the suction cup does not work very well. the system kept falling in my lap. i ended up velcroing it to my dashboard. problem solved.

This was a gift for a birthday. What a pleasure to program the address and get to your destination, voice commands very easy to understand. It is clearly mapped as well. Don't pass up this deal! We are loving it!

Excellent product. I bought a download from Magellan which makes it a crossover unit. It will now also do marine and overland navigation. I am very impressed with it.

I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THIS GPS. IT IS EASY TO USE RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX AND HAS SOME GREAT FEATURES. I HAVE A NOTHER GPS THAT I BROUGHT LAST YEAR AT THE SAME PRICE BUT IT IS NO WAY AS GOOD AS THIS UNIT. FOR THE PRICE YOU CAN'T BEAT THIS.
