Very user friendly. I used it to get to an address in another city that was not familiar to me. i was given very clear directions with plenty of time to make the appropriate turns and got to my location with no problems.

I practiced with this product before leaving for downtown LA. The prompts were a little confusing with the way the questions were asked. For example, Would you like to simulate the route? When one is in the car and ready to go, there is not one which says, "Start" that you can touch to get you started on your trip. I didn't know you were supposed to push "no" you didn't want to simulate and that would start your trip. I didn't see that anywhere in the CD instructions either.Once I figured out what it wanted to know, it was an easy process and it did get me where I needed to go. If I missed a turn, it would reconfigure itself from the present location and that was good. I only have one question. If these are so good, why are there so many that came back in for refurishment?

i have only had a couple of opportunities to use this gps. a friend has a supremely excellent one, so this one is definitely not as good as his, but for what i paid for it i think it is great. i like that it lets you know 2 miles, 0.5 miles and right before a turn. i did have one problem where it wanted me to cross a highway on a non-continuous road, but once i was on the other side of the highway it got me there correctly. i certainly like the array of searches you can do and it will help you find the nearest type of business you are interested in.

The Magellan RoadMate 2200 GPS was an excellent buy. My husband loves it, and I'm happy it's saving us gas money as he's not driving around forever looking for something. I still have to learn how to disable the automatic search. It won't let us put the name and address in of certain places, because it says they don't exist. Mapquest also does not recognise these places, and others say they have problems with those same locations on their GPS, so it must be the area. Customer service has also been excellent.

The good: Was really easy to set up and get working.
The bad: I took it Phoenix and it didn't have the roads I needed in the software. The map on it is from a couple of years ago and it will cost me $79 to get updated map software from the Garmin website. This is why I only gave it 2 stars for value.

I purchased the Magellan RoadMate for my girlfriend, and she absolutely loves it. The ease of programming destinations is very simple. The volume of commands could be louder, but acceptable at normal radio volumes. I would recommend this to anyone looking to purchase a mid priced and features in a G.P.S. device.
Buying a refurbished item can be a little daunting, but this item is as good as if it was a non-refurbished item.

I was suprised when i went to the web site and found their updates were around a100.$ if you want pictures you have to buy a mem card for other maps you have to buy upgrade for music you have to buy a difrent card

This was my first navigation system, therefore I wanted something that does the job and something that's user friendly. This product definately met my expectations. It's very user-friendly and highly accurate. You can't beat the price...that's for sure! I would highly recommend!

Fantastic and easy hands on product. This Magellan RoadMate 2200 GPS Navigation System is really easy to use. I have a Magellan RoadMate 700 which I thought was user friendly but the 2200 surpasses it . The 2200 is a great and fantastic GPS. Great and reasonable price won`t leave home without it. RC

I bought this for my boyfriend for his birthday and he loves it! It's easy to use and the picture/sound quality is great. The price was unbeatable. I guess I was expecting the screen to be a little bigger, but it still looks and works great. I was really greatful to see instructional manuals for this product, since many refurbished items don't always come with them. Overall, two thumbs up!

I purchased 2 of these to use for our business. They work wonderful! This time of year, we have many drivers on the road, and they go to places not commonly heard of. These units have saved many trips from being late arrivals because it directed the driver right to the location. I would highly recommend Magellan over Garmin any day. I have had experiences with Garmin and would not recommend it.

It came with all items to charge/mount it with. Easy to program trip information. Good visibility & instructions. Touch screen worked great. Used it for a 1200 mile trip recently & it performed flawlessly. Terrific value!

According to the box the unit came in, a CD was supposed to be included. It wasn't.
I then discovered the unit was a 2006 model and since I live in a rapidly developing area of Texas, much of the info was outdated. I will have to pay about $90.00 to upgrade it. Also, it is not as easy to use as other units I have worked with. If the shipping receipt had not been thrown out in error, I would have returned the unit.

I am happy with this unit. I am amazed at how it has detailed information on the area. The visuals are not that informative with just the roads and not much other in the way of graphics. I would have liked to have a richer graphic view. I have a problem mounting it in my car since I live in California I can't attach it to the windshield. I really don't want to glue the mounting disc on my dashboard either. I also would have liked a more universal mount so I can use it in other ways as on my bike. I think it is worth the value.

You can't beat the price! We did a lot of research on GPS systems and this is a great brand with a great reputation. The model isn't the latest, but it's not missing any major features either. The quality is great and it's so easy to use. I feel even better that we got the warranty. It's worth it!

I bought this and plugged it in and charged it. Put it in my car. So easy to use, I have not even read the Owners Manual. Only negative, you have to print the entire owners manual, it comes on a CD.

This is a good basic unit for land-based travel within the US. For my purposes (barbershop quartet singouts at different venues, especially on Valentines Day and other holidays, events, etc.) it saves a lot of time looking up multiple addresses, then helps keep your eyes on the road while providing verbal instructions.
Of course, it would be useful for any such activity, or on a long road trip.

Easy to figure out. If you have problems, you can call the help number and they're very helpful. (I couldn't figure out how to plug it into the wall - yeah, I'm THAT technology-illiterate person. The man on the phone was very sweet about it.) Anyway, if I can use it, ANYONE can. I like the suction-cup feature to attach it to a window - very sturdy and very removeable. The mapping was great - it'll get you where you want to go, as long as the road isn't brand new (it doesn't update itself - you have to download new maps online). And if you decide to go another way, it reroutes you without missing a beat! Great product!
