Definitely worth the price
Great GPS. It has got me to quite a few obscure places thus far. I have encountered a couple of instances where the map did not have the correct name of the street but many streets have more than one name locally so I can't knock it for it. A word of caution though... if you deviate from the directed path it will drive you nuts telling you to make U-turns to get back on track.

Magellan has the best routes!
This is a small, easy to use, information filled GPS with free traffic and maps for life. Magellan gives MUCH better directions than TomTom or Garmin! I will caution you that the first updates take a long time to install. This GPS has all the features that I love like traffic and alternative routes and estimated time distance etc. except it does have the speed limits.

Magellan Roadmate 2045T Lifetime maps
Out of the box this is a likeable GPS. I bought this particular unit for its Lifetime Maps. Upon updating the GPS for the first time it crashed the software. I followed the directions but Customer Service (friendly) said they have problems with Windows 7. In 2013 if it doesn't work with Windows 7 I'd call that a problem. I had to send the unit back to factory for update. Lost money for shipping. I received the unit back after a couple weeks. I checked the unit and a new map for 2013 was already out but not on my updated unit. I tried to update the map following all the precaution (firewall and anti-virus off) but it still crashed the software. I asked a coworker who was still using Windows XP to run the update for me, and the update worked fine. I like the unit, customer service was good but this is a Lifetime Maps product that I can't update it on my computer using an OS that came out years ago. I would have to send the GPS back to the factory for each update. I gave this product Fair due to Lifetime maps update problem and updaing software failure. Otherwise would be Very Good I don't recommend this product if you have to send it back to factory for update. Disappointing.

Good gps. It will take some getting used to as its different from my old one, but its a good one.

Good product
The GPS came as scheduled. It arrived undamaged. It works just like it is supposed to. I was impressed with the quality of the monitor and the direction arrows on the screen. The voice of the woman giving directions is pleasant and easy to understand.

On the Road Again!
I purchased two of these and we are both getting to know the Magellan RoadMate. So far all is good. I have only one critique so far - it does not tell me when it is "rerouting" when I change my route. That would help, so I know it is "catching up" with me! Easy to set up - takes a little getting used to, like any new toy.
