Customer Reviews
I have been using GPS systems for Years. I have a GPS Service with my cell phone, and this surpasses it. It loads my POI's fast, and guides me to the correct locations. With the updates, it is able to know where new locations, construction, and developments are. I purchased a additional one for my partner, and he is happy with it as well.

I purchased the Magellan as a Father's Day gift for my husband and he was thrilled. Just the other day he was stuck in traffic and decided to try out the alternate route option. He now has another way to get home. It was a great gift.

I have been using this GPS for about a month now since I recieved it. I was very excited to use it since this was a purchase that I had waited a very long time to make and had spent quite awhile reasearching different models to buy. I was pretty disappointed with this choice, here's why... The directions and routes it chooses are often bad. I've used it to take me places around my neighborhood to find various businesses, and since I know the streets pretty well, I've discovered that it often takes me in circles and chooses awkard routes. The voice that speaks the directions is rather annoying and constantly mispronouces the street names. Thank god the screen displays the names otherwise I'd no idea where I was supposed to go based on audio alone. The voice cannot even say "california" correctly! The voice says "st" instead of "street" and "cyn" instead of "canyon". Aside from that, the touch screen doesn't well either. I frequently have to push the same button again and again before it accepts it, often I have to start over from the beginning. Ultimately, it does a good job of getting me to my destination. But I am positive that there are other models that would do the job better for a similar price. The menu is super easy to navigate, very obvious, anyone could operate it without any previous instruction.

some of the features seem like they should just be one-touch, such as the volume control, but it is easy enough to use right out of the box without reading through the manual, but I can't seem to get it to save my points of interest options (it keeps defaulting back), and the POIs are pretty bare-minimum. Not an abundance of choices.
