I am so satisfied with this unit - with a surround sound like speakers. I intend to buy another one later.

I have a top-of-the-line Apple MacBook Pro, 17 inch, and even with the better speakers in this notebook, the sound can be difficult in noisy environments. These amplified speakers give much better sound quality and can even be used before an audience of several hundred people at a presentation. They are small and light. This is actually my second set. The first did not have the AC adaptor and ran only on batteries. Although the batteries did last a long time, changing them is a pain in the neck compared to having an AC power soure.
