Sandisk Sansa M230 512MB MP3 player with FM Tuner

We purchased this for our 11 year old nephew and he loves it. His only complaint is that the earphones don't get loud enough. Other than that he loves this!

THIS IS A GREAT PRODUCT I FOUND IT EASY TO USE AND THE EAR PIECES AND SIZE ARE GREAT. IT FITS IN YOUR POCKET AND HAS GREAT SOUND. THIS IS A GOOD PRODUCT FOR TRAVEL. JUST KEEP PLENTY OF BATTERIES AND YOU ARE READY TO GO.

I really like the way this mp3 player functions. I didn't realize (maybe because I wasn't looking for it) that it also has a built-in radio receiver and mine has a mic so you can use it to record, as in for lectures in class. I will need to invest in rechargeable AAA batteries, but even with the cheap-o ones I initially at the dollar store last a while with this Sansa. I like that if you pause a song but don't come back to listen, it will power down for you. The sound is a lot clearer than with cds, which I wasn't expecting. Oh, and it is compatible and works well with my subscription music service. My ONLY suggestion for future models is that the buttons are located on the far end from the audio output jack, so if you slide it into a pocket, you have to reach farther to change songs, but the whole thing is just a few inches, so no big deal, really.

Radio does not sound good. :( Have not tried downloading music yet...

I purchased this to listen to the TV while I work out at my gym (the sound is transmitted through a radio station). It works well for that purpose. I have not loaded any music on it - so I can't comment on that. I was disappointed to realize that it takes batteries - I just assumed it was rechargable. Although I re-read the description and it states that batteries are needed. However for the price, I think it was worth it.
