i really like the mixsonic it is the only mp4 player that will record from any source with a rca out put jack,so i can record any show,movie,dvd,ect..and thats without any computer usb interface.the video is good the sound is ok , there is no eq settings the sound you get is it theres no rock ,jazz,bass,or any sound settings,idont know why it is stated that way in the product description .over all i liked this mixsonic and with a 4GB card you can put 6 movies or 26 1/2 hour shows plus music and pitures.the down to it is that if you are down loading from a computer it is a pain unless you really know what you are doing .but thats not why I bought it . we have just purchased another one because my wife took over mine when she found she could record and watch her soaps on it ..you can also record inl line .cd,radio,or any thing with an earphone jack... we like the mixsonic

I bought this for my son a few months ago and both of us absolutely love this player! The sound and video qualities are excellent, and the price is very reasonable. My son now plays with it almost 24/7, and it hasn't had a single problem. I'd say for a price like this, we had a great catch.

it was easy to operate for me but the bad thing was, the battery was dead after a couple months. like dead dead. i charged for 2 weeks and it was juiced out. this is a bad product don't buy this

I would have to say that this product is more user friendly than I think it gets credit for. There are icons on the main menu that direct you to either vid, music, photo, record, games/accessories, and the setup screen. I think it is relatively intuitive and does not require an elaborate setup to begin usage (plug into USB and go). BUT THE MOST NOTABLE FEATURE IS THAT YOU CAN RECORD! Not just voice. This can record audio in AND VIDEO IN. Just plug and hit record to start recording, record to stop recording. PLUS built in speaker, video out to TV. The screen is not the highest resolution, but certainly serves it's purpose. I think this is an absolute bargain and would highly recommend it. If you are totally unfamiliar with the workings of a media player, it may be a bit confusing, but I figured mine out fairly easily without using the PDF manual. Oh, yeah, SD card memory=infinite memory! Seriously, this is a deal! If the price still seems a bit steep (though this is arguably one of the least expensive media players on the market), it does have sister players that are practically identical save the SD slot capacity. (1G instead of 4) for about 3/4 the price. My family has purchased two of these beauties to date and love them.

The instruction manuel is on a disk. It is not very helpful at all. I have never owned a mp3 player before and after this experience I will never buy another. This purchase is a mistake. It is hard to figure out.
