This is a good value-had everything I was looking for at a fair price. Quality of sound could be better and had a little difficulty with the CD player repeating tracks-but over-all a decent product. We used it in the car-operates on cord or battery-on a recent trip.Has AM/FM radio, CD and cassette player-everything you need in a portable system. Would recommend to a friend or family member.

This is a very good buy. The sound is great, and so is the price! When you don't have a fortune to pay, but want a sound machine that functions well this is about the best you can find. Overstock rocks!

I bought this refurbished unit to play MP3 CDs. Well, too bad -- although I tried both burned and commercially produced MP3 CDs, the unit would never recognize them. So all I wound up with was a tape/CD/radio player. Considering Overstock's restocking fee and shipping costs, it wasn't worth sending it back.

it plays well, sound it good, some time the buttons don't respond, but it is temporary and ocasional. overall, good product, good value.

Nice compact unit. Can pick up good radio reception. Reads disks well. Not sure the sound is big quality, but usually small speakers net so so sound. For talking books and tutoring - it's the best. Excellent features for the money!

I bought this unit because I have a bunch of tapes that I needed to transfer to my computer and the cassette player works great. It also has a MP3 player so it's like new technology meets old school technology. Everything works great I was just a little dissapointed about the price, it was on the high end.

there is no button to open cd player it has to be done manually. i believe it does not go back on the cd as well, but only forward. it fits my needs which are minimal for books on tape while going to sleep. i have not tried any tapes as of yet.

It was everything I was looking for--lightweight, ease of use, small, light, and portable, and fairly inexpensive. The quality of the sound isn't great, but that's not what I was geting it for. For my needs of what I am using it for, it is perfect.

I've been enjoying this for about a week now...it's an excellent buy and I am very pleased with it. The sound quality is very good, size of unit is perfect for my purposes, and I love the idea of being able to play my old cassettes...I've got some real classics that I haven't been able to enjoy for more than 15 years! Bought it for my mother who still uses cassette tapes and CDs as a replacement for the second Sony boombox in a row that broke. She likes it and finds it easy to work, which is a big deal for an older person (she's 67). The sound quality is nothing special--not bad, but not something to write home about either. But it is hard to find a small radio that work with both CDs and tapes these days and this one fits the need nicely. That said, Overstock really should make more of an effort to mention the manufacturer's name.

FM radio has a weak reception in my daughter's room, but other features work fine.

I bought this player for an elderly aunt that likes to listen to old time radio shows. I finally got her to start using CD's instead of tapes. This player has both a cassette and a multi-format CD player with great sound quality. My only complaint is that the buttons are a little difficult for an older person with poor eye sight but I thought they were fine.

I needed something to play cassettes for my PreSchool. This player is perfect. Just the right size & the sound is pretty good for the size it is.
