I have had an original ball mouse since they first came out. It is still going strong. This one is every bit as good. I love the ball types because using them doesn't bother my writst. I would highly recommend this product. Logitech is a quality long lasting product. I'm 62 years old and I would tell to buy this item - just remember you don't move the mouse around a surface you just roll the ball, might take a day or 2 to get used to it.

I was having the onset of Frozen Shoulder Syndrome as well as Carpal Tunnel. The pain in my shoulder was indescribable. Now, thanks to switching to this trackball, the pain is going away. I write for a living (I'm a tech writer for a software company), so losing the ability to use a pointing device was out of the picture. Thanks to this product I'm regaining it. I like the fact that it users laser tracking and it is an overall bargain for the price.

This model has been the favorite of my family for some time. The ball works well and the scroll wheel is well placed. Absolutely no issues installing it. It comes with USB and PS/2 adapters, has good documentation and it is durable.
