I had a presentation remote that I used 4 or 5 times per week for over 10 years that needed replacing. I had heard that Logitech made good products so when I saw the R800 I was interested. I give lectures and presentations so the built in timer was going to be feature I could use and, well, lets face it, the green laser is just too cool to pass on. My only concern was that it only stated that it was supported by Windows OS and I am a long time Mac user. I found out that the R400 worked with Mac OS, so I ordered the R800 from Overstock. I am extremely pleased with the R800. The laser is extremely bright so it work well in any lighting conditions. The remote feels good in the hand and the buttons are well placed. I also appreciate the storage of the USB dongle in the remote itself. I use the remote to control my Keynote presentations and it functions flawlessly. I have yet to use the count-down timer while giving a limited-time presentation but I have tried it and it is easy to use and it is surprisingly effective. So far, it has been a great product and I would highly recommend it. If you are looking at purchasing a presentation remote, you should take a close look at the Logitech R800.
