I had tennis elbow that a regular mouse made worse. This is an outstanding solution. No complaints. I have had this for over a year and love it.

i think it is the greatest for ease of operation theres no having to chase it around the desk top or the constence having to repostion it its fixed to one spot on my keybord tray . its features are remarkably convent its shape an size makes for a real comfortable and enjoyable item to use
marble takes a bit to get used to, if you are into the wheel for scrolling up and down the page or moveing the mouse over a pad. software installed well features are enough to make the mouse useful
The good part: You will save wear and tear on your shoulder, entire arm and wrist. Repetitive action, tendonitis, carpal tunnel syndrome-- forget about it. You will not need a mouse pad or the space it requires because the mouse does not move. Only your fingers move. The down side: It takes two minutes to coordinate your fingers to the tract ball.
I purchased this mouse as a replacement for the one we had at home, not because it was broken but because I got so used to it I had to take the one we had at home to work, and my husband wouldn't want to use any other kind. I was surpriced that it was so inexpensive and that overstock was offering it too, it does have a cord but since you are not moving the mouse all over your work area you wont mind it AT ALL, no more lifting the mouse and re adjusting!! And it comes with an adaptor in case you have no more USB drives available in your computer. Not having to deal with batteries is also very satisfying. It takes some time to get use to if you've never used one like this but its worth the while. The only thing that you do give up (at least because I havent found a way yet) is the scroll button that other popular mouses have, I have to drag the mouse tip to the scroll bar on the screen whenever I want to see up, down or side to side, but i love the "Back" and "Forward" shorcut buttons on the sides of the mouse. Just one warning though...if your mouse falls to the floor the marble might pop out and it is likely you will be on your hands and knees looking for it since that this can roll!!!! OH also I ordered mine from Overstock a Monday morning and got it the next morning at my door!!! Wow!!! fastest delivery ever! Thank you!!!
I JUST NEEDED A MOUSE FOR MY LAPTOP WITH A USB CONNECTOR. SO I DECIDED TO BUY THIS MARBLE MOUSE. I'M HAPPY WITH THE ITEM, INEXPENSIVE AND WORKS GREAT. THE BALL ON TOP OF THE MOUSE INSTEAD OF THE BOTTOM IS A NOCE TREAT.
I think this mouse is great. I do ergonomic assessments for the company that I work for. People who use a mouse for 6-8 hours of mouse work a day love this type of mouse. I've found that the Marble Mouse works best for those that have a smaller hand span (like a petite woman's hand). An ambidextrous trackball mouse is the best because is can be used with the right or left hand; so one hand is not getting overused. I feel that better instructions on the features of the Marble Mouse would be wonderful so that individuals can tailor it their work. Plus, many have told me they miss the scroll wheel even though you are still able to scroll with this mouse. I recommend this mouse often.
I have had this rollerball mouse for a couple of years now and it is an absolute dream. I purchased this one as a Christmas gift and the recipient loves it, too. It does take a little getting used to coming off a traditional mouse but once you're used to it you'll wish every computer you use had a track ball mouse! It is a four button mouse but the two additional buttons are very small and I still haven't figured out what their actual function is; I get no response when I click them. It's a minor quibble, though- the ease of using this mouse and the relief I feel in my wrist when using it far outweighs two little buttons that don't appear to have a function. Good price here at Overstock and the item was received within 2 days of my placing the order.
This is a wonderful little gadget. It takes up less space on desktop, has a smooth design and is a breeze to install. Even though I wish it had a scroll bar, that is not enough to detract from the device. Once acquainted with the features, it is quicker to control than a conventional mouse - and no need for a mouse pad! I can't say enough about my new Marble Mouse.
I have this mouse at work and wanted one for my home computer. It is a little hard to get used to but worth the effort. I no longer get pain in my wrist and down my arm with this mouse.
I've purchased a new laptop computer and absolutely needed another one of the marble mice for my new computer. Otherwise I have pain in my wrist and elbow from regular mice. I can not function without it. I already have one for work, the desktop, and I purchased one for my brother for his computer. If I ever heard about them discontinuing this product I would absolutely stock up. The hand placement is perfect. Your thumb naturaly rests on the left click button. You use your pointer and middle finger to manipulate the marble pointer thereby your wrist and elbow stay stationary as the majority of your hand rests. When co-workers come over to use my computer they are so unfamilar with using the mouse because it does not require the movement of your arm at all. If you want to move the pointer across the page you "flick" the ball with your pointer finger left or right so that it spins. For more precise movements you use your pointer and middle finger together similar to writing in cursive. You also are able to reassign the buttons to perform the tasks you'd like (software provided with mouse). I can't say enough and I am thoroughly satisfied. It takes a little adjustment to use the mouse for some people; however if you are already having pain your instinct is not to move your wrist or elbow at all and the minimized movements will feel natural and protective. Finally a relief from pain.
Would recommend this to anyone who is ready to move away from dragging a mouse all around the desk and having to continually reposition/adjust your hand placement. Great alternative to traditional mouse at a great price!
I love my trackball mouse. Over a conventional mouse, its advantages are: * use thumb instead of index finger to click. After hundreds of clicks/day, it makes a big difference. * stationary/miminal space requirement. * faster, more accurate & plain fun to roll. * theraputic - I feel it stimulates bloodflow in fingers (in a good way). If you work with computers all day, I recommend this plus an ergonomic keyboard. I like the wired versions because don't have to change batteries and spend the extra money for that.
I bought the track ball for a back up. The company does not make them any more and love the one I have. This is the first time I purchased from Overstock.Com and I couldn't believe the speed in which I received my purchase. Good show!! Will buy here again! Dottie
