Logitech Google TV Keyboard

I am using this keyboard for a Home Theater PC (HTPC) - I have a Windows XP laptop connected to my 47" LED/LCD 1080p TV. The laptop is inside the the TV stand, connected via VGA and audio cable to the TV. I am writing this review while sitting in my living room using this Logitech Google TV Keyboard and my TV. Although this keyboard is designed for use with Google TV products (specifically the Logitech Revue) it can be used as a keyboard for a PC. Be aware that in this usage (PC) there are many special keys (media control FN keys) on the keyboard that do not do anything (normally) on a PC. I am using scripts that I downloaded and modified (I am an engineer and software developer) based on a freeware Software product called Autohotkey (search for autohotkey for their site). Also note that while the touch-pad on the keyboard works great, you cannot 'tap-tap' (double tap) to get the functionality of the left mouse button (LMB) (like you can on a laptop touch-pad), you must press the LMB key. On the other hand, there are two LMB keys - one below the touch-pad and the other on the top left side of the keyboard. You can, while sitting on your couch, hold the keyboard in two hands and use your right thumb on the touch-pad (move the mouse pointer on screen) and use your left thumb to press the LMB key as needed. I have also not been able to get the Ctrl-Alt-Del keypress combination to work (i.e. to reboot or bring up Windows Task Manager or Login Screen) so I have to open up my TV cabinet and use the laptop keyboard for this. Since this keyboard and receiver (USB receiver, plugs into USB 2.0 port on computer) communicate via RF (Radio Frequency, i.e. like your wireless network) you do NOT have to point the keyboard at the TV/Computer and in fact can be (according to specs) be up to 33 ft. away. I have used my keyboard as far as about 30 feet away with no problems (can't see the screen any farther away anyway). Please also note that this keyboard does not have any standard function keys (F1, F2, F3, etc.) like windows PC keyboards (but with Autohotkey you could set up key combinations to emulate these function keys if needed). I have had this keyboard a few weeks now, no issues, and battery is still fine. I have read on other sites that the touch-pad will start to get erratic when the batteries are starting to get low (so, try changing the batteries before thinking that your keyboard is malfunctioning). There is an on/off switch located on the back edge of the keyboard, but I never turn it off - the keyboard will go into sleep mode after a period on non-use to save battery life, just touch the touch-pad to wake it up. I you want a keyboard similar to this but WITHOUT all the special media keys and WITH the standard windows functions keys (F1, F2,... F12) then search for 'Logitech K400'.
