This product delivers! My laptop was getting extremely hot. I was told that was not good. I found this on Overstock and have not regreted the decision to buy. It folds up and is easily stored in my bag. There's a place it store the USB cord that comes with it, so it will never get lost. It has two speeds and you'd never know it on because it is so silent. You know its on because the power light is on. You can lay it flat or tilt it up with the built in risers. A MUST HAVE FOR LAPTOP USERS AT AN AFFORDABLE PRISE.

It's a good buy but not great for everyday use. It dosen't compare to my old fan but it was very economical to purchase and is good for ocassional use.

I would not recommend this product to anyone and feel it was a waste of my money. The materials are substandard and the fan is underpowered, The fan is utterly inadequate for my laptop computer. Because the fan can only draw air from underneath, it must be set on a hard, flat, surface and use its flimsy rear fold out legs to create a space to do this. This makes the top surface of the fan become a slight downward slope. There are two small rubber stoppers at the top rear that are supposed to help created enough friction to hold your laptop on this sloped surface, but the rest of the plastic is too slick, and gravity basically pulls the computer off regardless of positioning. So far my computer has landed on the floor three times.The only positive thing I can say about this product is that it is very quiet, but I suspect that this is because it is so underpowered.

Lightweight, won't take rough service but is quite effective and a great alternative to replacing the original fan in the laptop!

was hoping the product was going to be as good as I hoped and it is better. No batteries to worry about. Just plug into empty usb port and it runs. I also like the variable speed. Thanks

Basically, a very good unit, but the plastics used look cheap... like a child's toy, the hinged back legs will eventually dip and sag and. I'm afraid my 15.4 HP laptop will eventually weaken the plastic enough for it to lose its shape and effectiveness. The odd-shaped, extended battery that HP provides with some units raise the laptop off the surface making the unit very unstable, especially when you are in a moving vehicle. 2 fans provide very good center cooling, rubber legs on the front side prevent the unit from slipping while maintaining a slight angle and the unit has 2 storage compartments to hold the USB cable and various micro-cards. I wouldn't reccommend putting USB drives in these compartments though. Last postive is the folding ledge that extends the unit, the ability to foldback makes the unit highly stashable.

This cooling pad does a great job at keeping you laptop from getting to hot. I have went though 2 hard drives before getting the cooler. It plugs in to usb port and uses minimal energy. It also folds to 6" x 12", with a compartment for the cord. The price was good for this unit as well. Thank you Overstock.com.

I bought two of these, one for my own laptop and one for my daughter's. She and I agree, these are just what we needed to keep our laptops cool. I was apprehensive about buying a plastic one, was afraid it wouldn't stand up to daily usage, but it seems to be quite durable and folds to a convenient size to pack into the laptop bag. It is so quiet when it's operating that I sometimes have to peek to see if the the light is lit or put my hand under it to feel the air moving. I have only seen a couple of other models in person, and they where a bit noisy. I also worried that the laptop would slip around on the plastic, but it has two little rubber feet that fold out, and they really do hold the laptop still and prevent it from slipping off the plastic top. It also has two legs on the bottom that fold out to hold the back of the unit up at a very nice angle for typing. My daughter uses her laptop several times a day for both work and pleasure and she said that it's really nice to be able to sit in a chair or on the sofa with the laptop on her lap now without getting a hot lap, especially with warmer weather coming soon.

Ok, for the price I wasn't expecting anything great and I figured if it broke after a month or so, it wouldn't sting too much. Here I am several months later and very happy with my cooling pad! The rear panel does seem fragile as others have mentioned, but by taking the extraordinary precaution of being careful (sarcasm off) it hasn't presented any issues. Here's how it went: open box, find usb cable, plug in, adjust fan, delight! You get two storage compartments and that makes a nice place to carry "just in case" items like extra thumb drives. My laptop used to get hot enough to be literally painful after being in my lap for a while, but even with the logisys fan set on "medium" (which is where I keep it) it cools masterfully, and my laptop runs better in extended periods. I have NO complaints and recommend the product.

I was initially very pleased with this. Did exactly what I wanted and really cooled the laptop down. Unfortunately the plug-in site for the power cord got loose and shoddy. Maybe I just got a bad one as the rest of the reviews were good. Maybe I'll give it a shot again.

Some how this product did not work,,,,want to replace it for one that does and haven't got any response back. I followed direction on how to install, the power button fails to come on so no fans come on to cool your Notebook, Nice design.....just this one didn't work.

I purchased this product as a way to save my hard drive. It was ready to go right out of the box and is so quiet you don't know it is running. It defiantely keeps the bottom of my laptop cool. This should help save my hard drive and thousands of dollars. A good investment for pennies.

I think this a great extra tool that all laptop users should have. Keeps your laptop cool. Super easier to install - plug in to USB and click the power switch. Has adjustable fan strength.

I've had this product for 4 - 5 mths I hate this product if I was able to send it back I would. Your Laptop slides off the surface and it's not very silent.

The cooling tray do not work at all sometimes....I don't know if it's from having it in my bed and not on a flat serface....btu it only works when im at the table....

This product was very useful for me. My laptop never heats up any more. It's perfect for my desk. It is not big and bulky at all.

Well, I haven't used the product as of yet. it was bought as a Christmas present. I will definitely let you know how he likes it. I'm sure he will be deeply satisfied with your product. The price was reasonable and the quality seems to be up to my standards.

I love the fact that you can control the speed of the fans and that it's nice and compact if you want to take it on the go. I bought 2 of these and gave the other one as a gift to my boyfriend and he was so excited about the quality of the product.

I bought this for my husband because he is always on his laptop, usually sitting in his chair while it's on his lap. As a laptop user, you know these things can get very warm... he said it works wonderfully! Also, if you have a laptop with the fan that's not working properly, I highly recommend this item!
