This is a connector. It has only one function-to make the connection . I needed a few wraps of black electrical tape to firm up the connection so that it did make the electrical connection. Now it works

The information on the website warned that two computers could not be operated, using the splitter, at the same time. What about other devices, e.g., computer and printer? I beleive the contact inside the RJ45 some how it is not holded tightly from inside, so I lost the internet signals sometimes.

The connector did work, to connect my 2 wires, one labelled Cat 5 and the other labelled Class E.
