Satisfied, but battery was old and worn out
Overall I am satisfied. Have had this a few days now and it is a good laptop at a fair price. The shipping all the way to the UK was reasonable, quick and well tracked. Buyers should note, however, that though refurbished quite well, these feel like thoroughly used laptops. The wear round the casing and on the track pad gave the impression that this had been in full service for some time before I got it. The screen hinges, for a similar reason, are not as tight as you might expect. However, it looks like a new(ish) keyboard and these machines are built to last. Main disappointment was the battery life. I had to buy a new battery. I'm planning to contact customer services about this - we'll see what they say! That's what bumped my rating from good to average.

Great experience so far!
I was hesitant to buy a refurb. But I am a college student on a budget, and I have always wanted a ThinkPad so I figured I would spring for it. The computer arrived in great shape! There is a little bit of wear on the keys from use (i.e. they are a little shinier than they probably once were), but even this was hard to tell without a discerning eye. The keyboard itself is amazing. I have heard how ThinkPad keyboards are a wonderful typing experience, but I had never really experienced it for myself. So, other than the keys, the computer looked essentially new. Everything went fine with the Windows install. I will say that it was advertised as having Windows 7 Pro, but it had Windows 7 HP whenever I received it. Not sure what happened there, but either way it really doesn't make that much of a difference to me since I will most likely not be using the computer for work. I also plan on dual booting Windows and Debian on this system (haven't done it yet though) so I'm not too concerned with the Windows release.

- Was the product free of any manufacturer defects? Yes it was, to my knowledge.
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. I have worked with Apples and other PC's. Compare to other PC's I have worked with it is much better! Compared with and Apple computer, for my uses at least, it is on par.
