I bought the Latte Ice 2 months ago not knowing much about. Yes I had done my homework about it and found a lot of great reviews, but like every product out there, there are a few bad ones. A few of the bad reviews had almost gotten me to change my mind and start looking for a different MP3player, but they didnt and I absolutely love this MP3 player now. I am so glad to have gone with this product. It has great sound quality. The pictures look amazing. It has 1 game, Russian Blocks, or aka Tetris. It has radio, which I haven't had much luck finding stations on it yet but then again I have plenty of good music so I dont really use it often. it has a nice large screen and its really easy to navigate thru. One problem that I have come across is finding a software that I do not have to pay for that will legally convert movies into the correct format. Its an on going search, but movies aren't that necessary so it does not really matter to me. When I charge it on like an empty battery I can walk away from it and like 30 minutes to 1 hour later its fully charged and ready to go. Being the fact that I am a 16 year old who loves her music it gets used everyday and so therefore I have to charge it everyday. Also, the reviews are correct about its life span, It can last about 8-10 hours. I would definitely recommend this product to a friend. It is a great product and I have really enjoyed having it. It is definitely better than my last MP3 player.

Pros: 8 gb memory, glossy look, ease of function to a certain extent, headphones, tetris game, additional space of memory for the mini sd, external speaker is good, screen is a large size.Cons: The menu is different from other mp3 players. You have to hold down a button for 3 seconds in order to get to certain menu's. This can get very annoying at times. Majority of songs and videos may require a file conversion when using Windows Media Player.To make your life easier: Drag your song or movie directly into the Latte Ice Music folder without Windows Media Player or any other system. The cd rom it comes with is not needed.I been through many mp3 players. The Latte Ice is good for what it's worth.

just love this device. For the money and features who needs a ipod. maybe for a bit older people it does all that we need. 3D sound quality is excellent! Video is clear, External speaker does good job too. price is good! I will recommend it to everyone!

I have sent 2 other mp3 players back for not being able to work them to breaking within a day. So far so good. I like the ease of use. Love the screen size. I use it in my car so it;s much easier to read than the little tiny ones. The other feature I like is the little speaker in the back so you can listen to it without even having earbuds in. If you are of the older generation i think this will definatley appeal to you! I'm not a teenager and it's been a great way to finally segway into the mp3 market.

The Latte ICE PMP (portable media player) is sleek, stylish, and easy to use, at least once you get over a couple minor quirks. First, it has a power on/off switch, but to turn the unit on, you need to turn the switch to the ON position and then hold the PLAY button for about three seconds. Second, some menus are accessible only through holding a button for three seconds. But once you can deal with those and you've spent about ten minutes with it, you will be flying through the menus easily. The Latte ICE comes with a mini-disc that has the software necessary to convert video files to AVI format. This program is ESSENTIAL. The ICE seems to use a very specific format for videos. No video I drag-and-dropped into it would work, even if they were originally AVI format. They absolutely MUST be converted and formatted through this program for them to play on your ICE. However, you can drag-and-drop your MP3's, pictures (JPG and BMP), and text files (TXT). It has a voice recorder function, which is good for leaving memos to yourself if you are forgetful like I am, and it has a Tetris game built in (called Russian Block, probably to avoid copyrighted names.) With everything this can do, it's one of those things that you should always have on you, and being that it is so slim, there's really no reason not to.

I bought this Ice for music & movie player.Huge screen and sound quality is just great.=)oh! battery life is pretty good too, I could watch 3 movie straight.haha.Good job, Latte!!

I'd previously owned the old Zen from Creative Laps with the huge hard drive and it was hard to find a replacement when my friend accidentally killed it. I sent two other products back as not being as described. This one is actually just as described, worked immediately, is easy to load with music/books and fits in a pocket. Sound quality is as good as a device this size can deliver and the screen is easy to read. Controls aren't as intuitive as one would like, but it's a small complaint overall. Great value for price.

I read lots of reviews before purchasing this mp3 player. I have had it for over a year now and I really like it. The screen is a good size and I love that it has an FM transmitter. I was playing around with it yesterday trying to figure out if it is possible to make a playlist. So I hooked it up to my computer and went into the files for the mp3 player. Under the music file create a new file with whatever name you want and then copy the music files into the folder. To get it to play, select music from the menu then scroll down to directory, then select the file you want to listen to. So although you can't make playlists on the mp3 itself, you can go this route! Hope this helps other users and future buyers! :)

I purchased two of these and we like the appearance and the inferface is fairly easy to use. We did have alot of trouble learning how to format the movies to play. There was no software that came with the products to help with this. It looks as if I'm going to have to return one of them due to the OK button stopped working after only a few hours of use.

I bought this in hopes of finding a good and affordable alternative to the walkmans and ipods of today,but what I found instead was a glitchy and sporadic device that dropped my jaw for all the wrong reasons.The first one I received(I'M ON MY 3RD REPLACEMENT!!)did nothing but charge.THAT'S IT!.The second,only lasted about 5 weeks before it decide it wasn't going to work right at all.THE GLITCHES;If you use the key lock feature,when you want to unlock it,it stops and scrambles whatever you're doing ALL THE TIME! When you turn it on and resume the song you were listening to,if you want to scroll for a different one it sometimes stops the current song witch only gets more annoying of course.This thing even turns on the screen by itself.It doesn't matter how long you set the back light timer for. IT JUST DOES IT.SPORADICALLY it will not turn the screen on,but will turn the unit off or restart on its own.NO ACCIDENTAL BUTTON PRESSES NEEDED.It will skip songs,replace the artist your listening to catalog with the sound sampler that comes with it.EVERY SONG!CHANGES THE VIDEO YOU'RE WATCHING RANDOMLY.The device can't handle action films at all. Too much movement and the screen tears with out out of sync audio until the action on screen dies down.And it doesn't even come with everything it says it has on it.The converter software to minimize video files isn't there so you can forget about getting a good selection of your favorites on it even with the expandable memory.And where are the games?It says it comes game ready with tetris. THERE IS NO TETRIS(don't say I didn't warn you.)The few things the latte ice portable media player has going for it are the standards of modern mobile gadgetry. good sound with decent stock head phones and 3.5mm jack,nice size screen with passable video quality at 30 frames a second. At the end of the day,you would've spent time with the latte ice praying, worrying ,swearing,clenching your fists,grinding your teeth,kicking over garbage cans where ever you are all in a tearful rage asking yourself this...WHY DIDN'T I GET A WALKMAN?

I was very excited to get my Latte Ice after reading all the reviews and seeing it's rating. It is user friendly with it's simple labeled button features. The problem I encountered almost immediately was a malfunction with the buttons. The manual offers only minimal trouble shooting instructions and little to no support if you do have questions with the operation of the player. The screen is a great size and appeared to have brillant display (when it did work-only for a moment). I would not recommend the player because of the product's lack of quality.

I was very excited when I received my Latte and even more excited when I charged it up and played the video that was already on the Latte. The pictures were so beautiful and clear and then when I saw how loud the speakers were without the headphones I was very pleased. I have not had any problems with my Latte yet and I hope that it lst for a ong time. People always ask me what it is and when I tell them a Latte they say, "that's coffee!" I would recommend this producr to anyone and it ha 8 GB and you can add pictures, books and moviesl I have not done either, but I plan too real soon. Great product for a great price! My Opinion; if you don't believe me get your own. I highly recommend the Warranty as well; it will come in handy! Thanks for Reading and go out and get the Latte!

the fm transmitter is great. screen is goog. the extra 16gb from the sd slot is great. headphones are very loud. can't beat it for the price

Looks far better than it works. Sleek and stylish the metal case is beautiful however, the USB cable does not quite 'fit' and the on/off button was crooked. Those were the first things that made me question the quality. Screen was great and I was impressed by the video quality, the sound was great with the headphones and just so-so with the external speaker (I did love this feature though) the biggest problem was the fact that you can NOT save playlists with this device they are not even made with the capability. In fact I wasn't able to save anything....it has a wallpaper setting and a few other picture display features BUT everytime you turn the player off it goes back to factory settings. As for the built in transmitter I was also unable to get this feature to work. It was really easy to put music and videos on. IF all the features worked and if they made this player capable of saving playlists I could really love this player. Unfortunately I am retuning this item.

My ice worked great for 4 months. Then I tried to down load a movie. Now my music is gone and the fm transmitter doesn't work. when I hook it up to my computer it shows all my music files, but on the ice it says no music file found. I tried to contact Latte company to see where I can send it, so I could get it serviced or repaired. No luck!!! I registered it but what good is that. It has a 1 yr warrenty but no where to send it.. It a great mp3 player when it worked. So beware!!!!!

I purchased this by specific request as a gift for my daughter. She was very pleased and reports to be enjoyed it immensely. Your products are usually a great value and your service is wonderful. I love shopping at Overstock.

I was very pleased with the product, but the software and owners manual that came with it are a bit lacking. I had to go on to the net to get help with some of the features. I would reccomend the product with reservations.

The main reason I bought this player was for the screen size. I mainly watch movie with this and the screen quality is super. Perfect screen size for watching movies. I highly recommend ICE player for anybody who loves watching movies.

I had bought a few different mp3 players and took them back because the quality of them was very poor. The Latte Ice MP3 player is a great product, The best part is that it is made of metal and not plastic.

This player would not charge. I contacted the company who in the beginning acted like they wanted to help. After trying their at home fixes and contacted them again. This time the would not acknowledge me. I would not purchase this brand of anything!!
