  I was worried about this printer when I first saw it because it said it was refurbished, but, so far, it has turned out to be a great printer. All the toner cartridges came pre-installed and set up took less than 20 minutes, including the time to install drivers and software and test both the printer and scanner functions. I am hoping things continue to go well with this printer because so far, it is the best printer I have ever owned.

  I bought this printer about 6 months ago for my small business. I'm a realtor and about 90% of what I do is black and white printing & copies, with a little scanning and faxing. The color is good and can be adjusted to make the images look fantastic on the right paper (I use 28lb color copy paper). Let me give you a few of the problems that I've had so far: It's really slow when printing large files in full color. I print a 2mb flyer and it can take 2 or 3 minutes for it to print. Annoying but I can live with it. You can use the tray to print envelopes. You have to feed them manually one at a time and the roller is too hot so unless you put a sheet between the glue and the lip the envelope will hot seal itself. Don't happen with HP but the toner is 25 to 50 % more The scanning software is pretty bad. if you want to create in a readable PDF be prepared for 2mb per page. But you can scan to word docs and create something reasonable. And now I just found the piece de r...

  I was nervous ordering such an expensive item from Overstock, but I did get exactly what I ordered in brand new condition with hardly any dents on the shipment box. It was easy to setup; I only had to remove packing material from the machine. I replaced my HP Officejet G95 with this machine. The cartridges in this printer are not some special spare size or even the smallest available size for purchase. I was so excited when I was able to make a duplex copy by just pressing a few buttons. I have actually printed PDF files from directly from a thumbdrive, and scanned to PDF on the thumbdrive, so you can use this machine years from now when the Operating System you use might not have drivers available for it. The only problem with using the thumbdrive is that you cannot manually set options for each scan or print, but you can set default settings for using a thumbdrive from the control panel or the web interface.
