Not to look a gift horse in the mouth, because this laptop is a good deal and is very fast, but the specs list it as having dual video cards NVIDIA / Intel 3000, which should support 3 or 4 monitors. Since we use docking stations with (2) external monitors, we like the capability of using the laptop screen as a 3rd monitor. The (4) units I purchased all had came with Intel video only. Also, the definition of a refurbished item (to me) is that it was purchased new, had a defect, sent back to the manufacturer (or their proxy), repaired, then sold as a refurb. These units were built in 2011 and are obviously end-of-lease units, with scratches, wear and tear, etc. - The units I bought had Windows 7 Pro 64 SP1 re-installed with new Product Keys and I had to download 228 updates, while setting it up. It comes with 2x2GB DDR3 1333 and I recommend bumping it up 2x4GB DDR3 1333. The Samsung 128GB SSD is the standard 2.5", not a mSATA, thank God, and is upgradeable. The unit is light and as I mentioned very fast. I would buy again at this price.

Alright....I've had this laptop for almost 4 months and can't really give it more than 3 stars. Pros: -Price was good for the speed / general specs. -Size is great, small and portable. -Came with Windows 7 -Battery still has good performance - can use it during my ~4 hour class without plugging in (with appropriate power saving settings) -So far, no issues with actual performance -Runs fairly quiet. Cons: 1) Refurb job is a JOKE. By far my biggest ding. -Doesn't just start up in Windows, you must select Windows every time the computer restarts. -None of the proper drivers are installed. For example, the fingerprint scanner doesn't function, nor did it come with the proper software to activate. I tried to find the settings for the touchpad, and again the proper software/settings are nowhere to be found. This is certainly NOT "like new" or "almost new" condition. For that to qualify, I expect the machine to function flawlessly out of the box. 2) Touchpad is ultra sensitive at the wrong times. It is constantly registering a 'tap' while typing, which leads to you typing and inserting text into previous sentences, etc. 3) Ports - only comes with 2 USB (stacked), and a variety of outdated ports that will never be used 4) Display is, again, fine.. Nothing fancy Just a few comments about appearance -This laptop is old. Certainly not a sexy device, but still a workhorse. -The keyboard has labels stuck to the keys. Most adhere well, but a few have corners poking up. Just a distraction. -The keyboard does show signs of wear. A few keys need to be pressed extra hard to work, etc -Condition is OK, but a few nicks/scratches present, but as you would expect. -I have not had any issues with overheating or the fan running too much. Would I repurchase? Tough call. Jury is still out. Ultimately it serves my needs, so...maybe? I'm not doing back-flips over the purchase, but it certainly does the job.
