This is a very nice looking product but is bulky. It actually looks like the top of a wooden school desk complete with pencil slot and hinged lid. The only problem I encountered is that it is bulky and a little heavy when I use it with my laptop. The attached base is a bag full of plastic beads. There is no grip area for a laptop so I suggest you use a gripper pad to prevent it from sliding. Overall a mediocre product.

Love the classic "school desk" look made sophisticated with the stained wood and brass. Nice green felt lining inside. I LOVE how light weight it is for wood because once you fill the compartment, it can get heavy. The etched out pencil holder is a great touch. Also, the flip top has two modes, one just to open, and another to lock the lid in the open position... another well thought detail. After getting one for myself, I ordered some more as gifts!

The lap desk is perfect for my needs. Almost like old school desk but made for your lap. This is a nice product and I would recommend it to anyone.

My wife is an adjunct college professor and was looking for a lap desk to use while grading papers at home. She had an older lap desk that was nothing more than a piece of laminated booard attached to a bean bag pillow. This is sturdy enough to use her iPad on and the storage area keeps her marking pens, papers, calculator, etc all conveniently organized. This has worked out just fine so far!
