Hello danapirate, there are a number of factors that determine recording time but on a high end recording 4 hours per camera on 8 cameras at the highest quality it would record for 3 weeks before it would start overwriting the recorded video. The normal length is over 30 days with motion detection used. I hope this information helps. Thanks for shopping with us.
