HD works as advertised. The setup software is a little annoying to get started.

Have had the drive for a few months now hooked up to my iMac, and it seems more reliable than its predecessor (a Seagate that died and was finicky from day one). Overall, I find it to be fast, quiet, and have an attractive design. It has a nice heft to it as well. I only have 3 gripes: First, the drive doesn't automatically turn off when I shut down the computer; second, the button on the front seems fairly useless (I might find it more useful if I had a PC); and third, from time-to-time the LaCie Desktop Manager seems to randomly launch by itself.
