La Crosse Technology WS-8117U-IT-C Atomic Digital Wall Clock with Moon and Temperature

Its worked well for me till now. My only criteria was a watch with very large digital numbers so that its visible. And this one has that. It came with a separate piece that you have to attach outside to catch the signal for automatic time set, but that didn't work for me. Anyways I didn't need that so I don't use it and I don't miss it either. You can set the time manually as well and the time zone too. Also today did switch to winter time automatically. So I know now that, that works as well. It has features like day of the week, date etc as well. I am satisfied with this purchase as it met my needs.

I really like the Atomic Digital Wall Clock with Moon and Temperature. It is so functional in so many ways plus it really looks very beautiful hung on a wall. I love the fact that I can know the outside temperature anytime I need to know. Now I only give it 4/5 stars because the "atomic" part of it really does not work very well. I read that other people have the same issue so I don't think it is a defect. Even the manual says that sometimes the signals will work or not work depending upon outside atmospheric conditions that affects the clock's ability to receive the signals. I guess in my case since the clock in about 20 feet away from my window the signals are not strong enough to reach the clock but realistically I cannot move the clock since it is in the ideal place where I need it the most. This is the only part of the clock that bothers me since it is advertised as an "atomic" clock. I really liked the idea of an "atomic clock" but since it does so many other things well and it looks good I am satisfied and the price was good. I would recommend it to everyone but keep in mind the "atomic" feature is really more of a gimmick since it really does not work well. But who knows, if you put it near a window perhaps the signals can reach the clock and it would work well. I wish everyone a happy new year!!! Sam

Outstanding piece of equipment. Very bold read out can be seen from across the room. Surprisingly accurate, even the weather guide functions. Set up was not difficult at all as the it only involves two setting buttons. The other two buttons are for the alarm and snooze which is not a function I will need to use. The clock is designed tastefully and makes a nice addtion on my office credenza. The sides of the clock are actually well finished wood and the centered clock is metal in a gold, matte, finish. If you prefer, the clock can be wall mounted.
