Fun Toy
After reading some reviews I was concerned about setup difficulty etc. But it was a piece of cake. the wind direction and speed indicator clamped to a metal fence post (I had one of those thin post for a wire fence laying around.) I then mounted that to a 2x4 that I nailed to the eve of the shed in the back yard. The phone style wire ran down the eve of the roof to the humidity and outdoor temp sensor / sender. There is a clear shot to the kitchen window from the sender of that unit. The instructions say that this distance can be 330 feet. I am about 100 and am having no problems. The manual is big but the entire operation can be understood by reading two pages: 1) the page that illustrated the button names and 2) the page that describes what each button does in every mode!

Save Your Money
This weather stationed worked for a year, then quit working. After playing 1000 questions with La Crosse customer service, I sent it back for repairs and it still doesn't work. After awhile you just get tired of playing with the batteries and give up. Which I guess is La Crosse's business model.

Nice Display
Product works as advertised. I have the outside windspeed and temp monitor about 60 feet from the inside display and have had no issues with them connecting. I like that the inside display unit has backlighting and turns on when you touch any of the buttons.

frustrated
I had read reviews about the rain sensor in this unit. I decided to try it anyway. The reviews were correct. I tried to get the sensor to communicate with the main receiving unit three different times, changing the batteries in all units. Never worked !! Became very frusrated with the weather station and returned as defective.

LaCrose WS1510 (The Weather Channel)
The product performs exactly as described in their literature, if you don't load the batteries in the correct sequence, you'll have issues. MOST of which can be addressed by removing the batteries and reinstalling them in the correct order. Customer service is SLOW at Best, phone tree has you on hold for 5 minutes and then I was told to submit an email which was addressed within 2 days.
