I'm very happy with the LG Super-Multi DVD/VCR recorder. New since Christmas but it seems to work very much as advertised and the learning curve for how to use it seems reasonable. Would definitely recommend it at this point.

Customer service at LG not the greatest as I had trouble getting set up because book contains so much detail. The features I have used so far meets my expectations I have not tried one touch tape to disc yet so I can't say about that but tape and disc recording for general everyday use is what I needed right away and I think it is good unit for price .

The unit performed very good, I did not record yet but it played CD's and VHS tapes without a problem. Set up was all automatic and worked great, it picked up all the local stations, high def and standard. I am using this unit with an out side antenna and standard CRT TV set so there will be no problem in Feb 2009, will use the HD tuner in this unit.

What a unit...................!! It's a great buy and wonderful recorder/player. I would recommend highly!

I must admit that I have not figured out all the bells and whistles on this player/recorder yet, but it has the BEST audio and video quality of any DVD or VHS player I have ever seen! It is very easy to play tapes and DVD's on this model (I have not attempted recording yet) and I am so impressed with the quality of the picture and sound -- I would recommend it to anyone --

1st thing I noticed is the display doesn't stay on. I like to see the display until the whole tape rewinds. The unit is hard to view and the display on the unit is to small to read. DVD is the best part of this deck so overall the deck for the money is OK.

This is the third DVD Recorder/VCR which I have purchased and the first from Overstock.com. This is the best one. I returned the first two since they did not work as advertised. Within 5 minutes of setting it up I was transferring family video tapes to a DVD with ease. A great product at an even greater price.

First of all, I was not aware that I was purchasing a rebuilt machine. However, it seems to run perfectly. My major complaint is that it is not user friendly whatsoever. Both the handbook and the onscreen instrcutions are overly complicated and not intuitive. This is particulary the case when trying to record in VHS mode. I have had a number of machines from several manufacturers, and I have never experienced anything like the level of complexity in trying to perform the simplest tasks. I would not recommend this machine, even at the price.

The product appears to be good however I did have some problems. I was sent the wrong owners manual and the wrong remote. On contacting the Lg Help Center, I got these matters resolved at no cost to me.

Wow! I am so happy with this purchase. I really was just looking to replace a semi-functioning DVD player and an analog VCR. I got a dream machine. I can record my shows on DVD-R with ease and chapter sectioning. I'm able to play my VCRs. The digital reception is great. I'm still learning all the features it has. I am one very happy camper. And if you have an LG TV (and several models they list in the guide) , you can use the remote for both with just the one that comes with this machine. And the DVD player is very robust. It plays this one disc three other machines and my computer had problems playing. It also plays a European region DVD I have. I'm very satisfied with my purchase.
