We were so excited to receive this LG theater system and read a lot of reviews before deciding on this one.Don't buy this system. While it worked, the audio was great, but it worked for about 1 hour. We have had the thing for a week and haven't been able to play any dvds or cds. It won't read them.A waste of time setting up and now we have to take the whole thing down. and send it back.

I shop around for a while for a 5.1 surround sound. I finally found this LG home theater which I would recommend to any one. The price is great for a starter unit and especially if you are on a budget. The sound is excellent great bass. My only draw back is the remote control. It will not work further than 4ft away from the main unit.Apart from that it"s an excellent unit.

Not much of a deal. The sound is not syncronized with the picture when using the CD player. There are only two sets of jacks on the amplifier. One for for input, one for out. I had to find "Y" connectors to hook anything up.

Excellent surround sound system. Great addition to a home theater.

Sounds sytem and speaker clarity & quality, isn't bad at all, but the item shipped with NO Remote, which helps get to the menu via input, NOR did it come with the IPod connector, Nor the manual. And to top it off, the faceplate is detached. I thought I would save a few bucks but next time, it may be best to skip "refurbished" anything-altogether and get New. I now have to wait a few days and see what Overstock.com plans to do about the missing items..........keep you posted.

Not even close to worth any amount paid for it. I had one, had to return it and the second wouldn't play DVDs either. Dealt with it for about a year before simply throwing it away. The speakers are good, but the DVD player is useless unless you're looking for a home theatre system that will frustrate and anger you beyond belief.

I gave this system as a gift and since I ordered it close to Xmas date I didnt expect it so soon on ground shipping. Well it came within 3 days of order date!! So it was ready for Xmas.It was a little confusing to set up to a digital box and adjust audio for both cable. Those instructions should be added in the manual and clearly.Other than that, I love how the speakers have the black glossy look. He loved the whole system so we were both happy.This is my second home theater system bought here and continue to be satisfied with overstock products.
