For the true fan -- sports or movie or whatever -- there is always something big coming, and you should see it on a new LCD TV. The latest in electronics is the wide screen high definition television. LCD TVs are a proven technology that delivers great, theater-size HDTV on a flat panel screen, just like is a proven retailer that delivers great discount prices.
A liquid crystal display TV, or LCD TV, is a flat panel television, thin and light enough to hang on a TV wall mount or fit on a TV stand in any room in the home (even small apartments or dorm rooms). Television and cable networks are switching to HDTV programming, so you'll need an up-to-date LCD television to really get that full HD television home theater experience. The picture on an LCD TV is clear, the colors are crisp and the viewing angle is superior, meaning you don't have to crowd together in front of LCD televisions to get a great view. (Although, with the right crowd, that could be entertaining on its own.) LCD TVs are also more energy efficient than their tube TV counterparts. OLED technology in newer LCD TVs helps provide superior color reproduction, meaning you'll see deeper blacks and more vibrant colors when you watch sports, TV shows and movies on your LCD TV screen.
Now, sports and movie fans, some of you want not only the best view, but the biggest view you can get. In that case, an LCD projection TV or LCD projector is the way to go. Rear projection TVs allow bigger pictures without hugely bigger TV sets. Projectors put the image on a projector screen or the wall -- some as big as 200 inches. Either is a great home theater party option.
You work hard, you deserve to relax and have fun. has assembled the best discount LCD TVs and cheap televisions from top manufacturers; so you can enjoy the superior picture and sound from a LCD flat panel TV for less than you probably spent on your old tube TV originally. Great prices and great products are just a way of life when you shop at the "O" for LCD TVs and home entertainment.

  • Good Details for the Next Buyer to Consider

I read generally positive reviews about this 40" TCL Roku tv and it seemed to fit our needs (replacing 27" tube tv in bedroom). Having several different A/V devices in our living room for streaming media I liked the simplicity of the built in Roku. I could not find a local brick and mortar store that carried this tv to view it before buying. Positives: -Real easy set-up for telling the tv what inputs you have selected (cable box, blu ray player); keep in mind tv has to wirelessly connect to your router (no ethernet connection) for the apps. This tv is only 1 room over from the wireless router so it picked up my 5ghz wireless N signal easy and has been streaming Netlfix quickly. I've also tried the Plex app by installing the server software on my media PC. Plex connects really fast to the tv for all my stored movies, tv shows, and music. The Plex interface on the tv is a bit clunky compared to Apple TV but once I find my movie it starts fast. I've only just started messing with ...

  • Can't hook it up to video feed

Inexplicably they made a product that only receives over-the-air television signals. You can't hook this up to your cable system, vcr, dvd, etc. (even though the user guide and on-screen menus give you options for cable/air etc.). The amazon reviews talk about this, but I was hoping they just referred to it not being "cable ready" e.g. needing a box - but it won't accept any sort of video feed.

I wanted a DVD player with a small screen for my bedroom to replace a 9" DVD player. I think the screen is larger than 15". It looks more like 17" or 19". I wish the screen was smaller, but I can live with it. Pro: the cost for the TV/DVD combo is about the same as for a DVD player alone. Also the picture is excellent. Con: The instructions suck. Happily I just watch DVD's on it. I'm sure I'll have to snag someone who is tech savvy if I ever decide to watch the TV.

Great item! Received very quickly, too. The color is excellent and the size is perfect in my kitchen. I would highly recommend this item if you're looking for a small HD flat screen. I replaced an old style 13" in my kitchen and I couldn't be happier. It sits nicely on top of my cable box without blocking the ventilation. The sound is great and the picture quality is amazing. The price and shipping were VERY reasonable. Better than I could have done locally at a store, plus I got points for on-line ordering through a site I use frequently. Win-win all around! Thanks for the great bargain, Overstock!!!
