The Microkorg is a very versatile digital keyboard that acts like an analog synth. There are well over 100 patches and each patch can be modified about 60 different ways, so you can basically mimic any synth patch you hear on the radio or in a club or wherever you listen to pimp music. It's also compact so you don't have to take up all the space on your table or stage.Cons:Unless you're already familiar with how synthesizers work, this will be a big learning experience and you'll have to spend a few hours reading the manual and trying things out on the Microkorg. I've had it a month and I know I've only scratched the surface of what I can get the different patches to do. Fortunately most of the patches that are preset are pretty rad as is and not much modification is needed. Also, you'll probably want to buy a real mic if you're going to use the vocoder live.Overall this is a great keyboard because it's compact, professional, versatile, and probably the least expensive of all the synthesizers.
