I couldn't possibly say enough about this amazing little box. It is so incredibly easy to use a child could operate it, yet a seasoned musician will delight in it. Having different scales & keys available make the Kaossilator a legitimate musical instrument. I previously owned a Nord Lead 2 & quite honestly I seem to be able to do everything I want to do with this little box (for a fraction of the price!). The only problem I could forsee for the serious musician is that is can be a little difficult to choose notes consistently. It you start at any corner you always have the root/octave note of the scale, but leaving the corner of the pad can give you a different result every time. What is to be expected from a synth with no keys! If you are a fan of synths the Kaossilator is a MUST own. All the bleeps & squibs & bloops a synth fan could ever possibly want.
