I have two major technical issues with the new unit I purchased. The screen does not luminate and when hooked up to my computer to upload or download pictures the software gets caught in a continual loop of beeping.............pretty annoying. It it operated as designed, it would be a nice unit. I am going to have to initiate a return for credit. Sorry.

The camera works terrific, xmas present for my son. I bought it based on another customer review and agree w/them 100%. There are more features than listed, it is very compact as stated but not a bad quality camera. Very happy w/the purchase

Not HD Quality

Very awkward to operate with one hand especially for a kid. Even though the comments say HD quality, the video is most definitely not HD quality even at the highest resolution. The pictures are also not that great in low light and skin tones are off regardless of the lighting and can't be corrected using any setting on the camera. It is, in my opinion, a toy in par with the quality of a web cam. You are better off getting a 5 mega pixel camera that can also record video. The video will still not be HD, but at least the pictures will be excellent quality. I returned mine and got the Nikon COOLPIX L10 which is on this site for $23 less to boot.

Great deal for my hubby who is a professional Photographer for over 35+ years (started young!) before digital existed.
The image quality is good too he says and small enough to carry in a coat or shirt pocket, or on the lanyard supplied. Buy memory for it though--we started with 4GB and it works fine--Has a light and can take still photos too+ has a remote control if you need to shoot a demo of something --or join in with others for a moving family portrait. Switches from color to b&w. Too cool!
