This camera/video recorder is okay. I don't use it much because it doesn't seem user friendly. However, the videos come out very clear and are awesome when I do use it.

I got this camera for xmas. I asked for the hand-held HD camcorder but after doing the research found this would give you near the same video quality for a much cheaper price! I am very pleased! If you use the HD cables n watch the videos on your HDTV the image comes out stunningly clear! Like it's a eality tv show or something! As for the previous posted. Your complaining about the PICTURE quality of a devide designed for OPTIMAL VIDEO QUALITY! The Zi6 is a 720x1280 Resolution HD CAMCORDER but only a 1.4MP CAMERA! AKA your 12MP camera is obviously going to be worlds better for pictue taking and this will be worlds better for video recording! However, for those of you without a digital camera hoping to utilize this for pictures as well, I found the best way to do so is to record whaever you want to take a pic of and then open it in a program on your pc that plays video (such as vlc media player, winamp, etc) and puase the video wherever youd like and there you go.. HD quality digital photos!

I have this camcorder. I'm a camera nut. This was not very easy to work with. Didn't find picture quality that good. My 12megapixel, 5X zoom camera takes better pictures. I was disappointed in Kodak. I would not buy another or give one as a gift.
