I've really enjoyed using this so far, it has met my expectations for quality in a Kodak product. Having compared it with my RCA Small Wonder and used it to record my local 4th of July fireworks display, I have a couple of things to note about it. The Kodak performed as I thought it would, with the sound quality being even better than expected. The video quality was comparable to the Small Wonder. The main problems with the Kodak is that it really does work best in ideal light conditions and it's sensitive to shakes, meaning a steady hand or tripod are necessary to get the best image quality. But this seems to be the case with all similar cameras. My favorite feature is the fact that the camera uses AA batteries (and they seem to last for a couple of hours of use at a time before needing replacing or recharging - and I do recommend using the rechargeable batteries that Kodak was kind enough to add to the package. But do charge them first). The other feature I love is the ability to use SD cards up to 32gb, instead of having to rely on a set amount of space. For the price, the Kodak delivers appropriate value and ease of use. I would recommend this purchase.
A great little camera & surprisingly good sound. I have used it to record music in my piano studio for teaching purposes. I discovered that you need to be careful about not placing your fingers over the mic holes when hand-holding during recording. You get distortion of pitch. A tripod would be safest. Easy to use right out of the box.
