Kodak KLIC-8000 Compatible Battery Charger Set,Had it for a couple of weeks now - and it's already not working. Starts to charge but within a minute the middle spring dosent hold a solid connection so the charger thinks it is not connected. However - If you push on the battery it realizes the conection and begins to charge. I gently noodeled with the middle tab and it charged for a few more minutes, but then stopped. Just bad construction, they went cheap on the tab so the whole thing dosent work and I don't have 2hrs to hold the battery in tight so it will charge completly.
I made the mistake of ignoring already posted negative reviews of this charger...my bad. As advertised, the device has an LED which glows red when the battery is charging, and green when it is done. That was important, since I wouldn't have otherwise known that the device was NOT charging my KLIC-8000 battery. There were only two ways to get a battery charged: 1) Fiddle with the battery to get it on PRECISELY the right angle, so that the LED glowed red. Even if you did this successfully, most times the battery would shift a bit (due to resistance from the charger's metal contacts), and the charging would stop. 2) Use duct tape, to press the battery down into the charging well very hard. Only then would you get a solid contact. Since this is the first poor merchandise I have received from Overstock.com in over 6 years of purchases from them, I let them know that they had a stinker on their website. They immediately asked me to write this review, to warn others, and offered to let me return it for a refund. I told them that since it had been so cheap, I threw it out. They still insisted on giving me a credit towards my next purchase. The charger is no good; but, Overstock.com remains one of the few sites where I feel certain that I am valued as a customer.
A great unit for the money--an excellent value. Trouble-free operation & nice feature with Red lite indicating charging, orange/yellow half-charged & finally green lite showing full charge achieved. Again, a great value for the money & impressive. unit overall.
I purchased this item for my uncle, and after they received it, they tried charging the battery....They did this for almost a week! They brought it back to me and I tried charging the battery, the light would go red when I installed the battery and then, green when I would remove the battery. I attempted to charge it, and nothing!! We used the original battery from the camera.....Should have read the previous reviews BEFORE I purchased this item....DO NOT BUY!!!IT'S A RIP OFF!!!!
I bought an extra battery when I bought this unit. I tried to charge both batteries and neither one would charge. I verified that neither battery had been charged by attempting to use them in my digital camera. I threw it away.
